This Installation Agreement (“Agreement”) forms part of the contract between PodSpace UK (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the customer (“you”, “your”) for the installation of a PodSpace UK product. 

By signing this Agreement, you confirm that you understand and accept the terms below. 

1. Scope of Installation 

PodSpace UK agrees to deliver and install the agreed pod at the specified installation address. 

Installation includes: 

  • Positioning and assembly of the pod
  • Connection of pre-installed internal electrics (where applicable)

Unless expressly agreed in writing, installation does not include: 

  • Groundworks or foundations
  • Electrical mains connection to the building
  • Plumbing or drainage works
  • Structural alterations to the property

2. Customer Responsibilities 

You agree to ensure the following prior to installation: 

Access 

  • Clear, safe, and unobstructed access to the installation site
  • Sufficient space for delivery vehicles and installers
  • No restrictions that would prevent safe unloading or movement of the pod

Site Readiness 

  • The installation area is fully prepared and ready
  • Any required permissions (e.g. landlord, planning, site approval) are obtained

Failure to meet these requirements may result in delays and additional charges. 

3. Base / Platform Requirements 

Where a base or platform is provided by the customer: 

  • It must be:
  • Level
  • Structurally sound
  • Suitable for the size and weight of the pod

Inspection 

  • All bases/platforms are subject to inspection by our installers on the day of installation

Unsuitable Bases 

If, in the reasonable opinion of our installers, the base/platform is unsuitable: 

PodSpace UK reserves the right to: 

  • Refuse or postpone installation
  • Carry out remedial works (where possible) at additional cost
  • Apply a revisit charge if a return visit is required

We are not liable for delays or costs arising from unsuitable site preparation. 

4. Installation Scheduling 

  • Installation dates are estimated and not guaranteed
  • We will aim to carry out installation as close to delivery as possible

Delays may occur due to: 

  • Weather conditions
  • Site readiness
  • Operational or logistical factors

PodSpace UK shall not be liable for any losses resulting from installation delays. 

5. Health & Safety 

  • Our installers reserve the right to refuse or stop work if conditions are unsafe
  • You must ensure the site is safe and compliant, including:
  • Stable ground conditions
  • No hazards or obstructions

Any aborted installation due to safety concerns may result in additional charges. 

6. Damage & Liability During Installation 

  • We will take reasonable care during installation
  • You must notify us immediately of any concerns

PodSpace UK is not responsible for: 

  • Pre-existing site conditions
  • Hidden structural issues
  • Damage caused by inadequate ground or base preparation

7. Electrical & Services Disclaimer 

  • Pods include internal electrics only (unless otherwise agreed)
  • Final connection to mains supply must be carried out by a qualified professional

PodSpace UK accepts no liability for: 

  • External electrical connections
  • Third-party works

8. Completion & Sign-Off 

Upon completion: 

  • You (or your representative) must inspect the installation
  • Sign to confirm satisfactory completion

Any issues must be raised at the time of installation where possible. 

9. Additional Charges 

Additional charges may apply for: 

  • Failed delivery or installation attempts
  • Delays caused by site access or readiness issues
  • Remedial works required on site
  • Revisit appointments

These will be communicated where possible. 

10. Limitation of Liability 

To the fullest extent permitted by law: 

PodSpace UK shall not be liable for: 

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Delays outside our control
  • Costs arising from customer site issues

Nothing in this Agreement excludes your statutory rights under UK law. 

11. Governing Law 

This Agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales. 

12. Acceptance 

By signing below, you confirm that: 

  • You have read and understood this Agreement
  • Your site is prepared in accordance with these requirements
  • You accept potential additional charges where applicable
